Verification of Individual Employment Contract for Professional/Skilled Workers (Agency Hire)
Procedure Requirements
1.     If the employer/s already have a prospective Filipino worker/s, the verification process of Individual Employment Contract/s (IEC) for skilled workers may be included in the accreditation process.


2.     Submit a complete set of requirements to the POLO-WDC by sending original copies at:

Please take note that the Philippine Embassy’s state is the District of Columbia (DC) and NOT WASHINGTON (WA).


3.     Upon receipt of the documents, the POLO-WDC will check the completeness of the documents.


We aim to complete the process within five working days, however, this is subject to completeness of documents submitted.


4.     The employer will pay the Verification Fee made payable to “Labor Office” or “Office of the Labor Attache” in the amount of US$10.00 per IEC via:

FR ISLANDS: US Bank Draft for island banks with a US Bank Counterpart


5.     POLO-verified IECs will be released through courier either to the foreign employer/company or to the PRA. POLO-WDC is currently using the services of FedEx.


If the employer has a FedEx account, prepare an electronic FedEx shipping form, sample:

(Do not put POLO-WDC as the sender)

If the employer has no FedEx account, please go to the FedEx website, determine the cost by typing the Philippine embassy address as the shipping address and the employee or PRA’s address as the recipient. Then make payment payable to “FedEx” via:

FR ISLANDS: US Bank Draft for island banks with a US Bank Counterpart


We will not accept shipping labels acquired/prepaid directly from FedEx stores using the old FedEx hand-written form.

Please provide us information on where to send the documents: Name of worker/ Representative/Company, Complete address with zip code, and contact number.

6.     The POLO verified EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT can be signed by the worker in the Philippines.


7.     The PRA will file the POLO verified IEC/s with the POEA for final processing and issuance of Overseas Employment Certificate for initial deployment of a Filipino worker. (Please see the process on how to obtain an OEC.)

*If verification of IEC/s will be done after the accreditation is done with the POEA, please attach a copy of POLO verified Job Order.
